This week on the show, we are joined by Rick Smets from Stereo Brewing out of Placentia, California. Rick will be joining us for the following three episodes as well, sharing various award-winning brews from Stereo, and hanging out with us as we bring our own offerings to the table.

We kick off the episode with Stereo’s Great American Beer Festival medal-winning oatmeal stout, Wall of Sound. Coming in at 5.6% ABV, with a silky mouthfeel and dry finish, Wall of Sound is both a satisfying break from the recently popular hazy DIPAs, and a lower-alcohol crushable beer that fits in well with the cool fall weather. It’s definitely worth checking out if you see it out in the wild–you won’t be disappointed.

We wrap up the show with three beers from Greg while also systematically and predictably screwing up the pronunciation of Scandinavia beer and brewery names.
