Episode 336: This week, beers from Southern California’s Laguna Beach Beer Company!

This week on the show, we’ve got five awesome beers from our friends to the south, Laguna Beach Beer Company! Just before the pandemic hit in 2020 and many businesses temporarily closed down, LBBC were generous enough to hand-deliver their beers directly to the 4B studio for us to sample. Unfortunately, the session in which that show was recorded would be the last in-person show in the 4B studio for 2020. Long story short, there were technical difficulties, among other things, and circumstances for the show were a bit chaotic in the weeks following the COVID shutdowns. Ultimately, the show never got released.

Now that things have settled down and more businesses are getting back to normality, LBBC reached out to us again to send us beers for the show. We were very impressed with the first round of beers they sent, so there’s no way we were going to turn them down! Obviously, we are very thankful to LBBC for hooking us up yet again with their truly wonderful beers, and we’re looking forward to visiting in-person sometime in the near future.

It was a rough year. COVID-19 hit the United States and other parts of the world hard. Many places even today, especially India, are deep in the woods with COVID-19. These places that are still suffering need our help more than ever, both in terms of medical supplies and vaccines. That said, you can easily do your part by getting vaccinated. Please protect yourself and others around you by getting vaccinated, staying safe, and staying responsible. We’re not out of the woods yet, but we’re inching closer and closer every day.

We’ll still be recording episodes over the internet once a week from here out, while slowly getting back to in-person shows in the coming weeks. We hope you’re safe. We know this sucks right now. We miss our friends and family, socializing, and even going for a run without having to wear a mask, but this is temporary and staying at home as much as possible, while also keeping our distance from others in public, is something we must all do. That being said, we live in a great time in history where we have a robust internet that allows us all to stay in contact, see each other’s faces, and even get together once a week for a virtual happy hour.

We’ll be recording episodes once a week from here out, which is actually pretty cool for those who normally can’t make it to our typical monthly recording sessions. We’ll be having guests on the show, trying new beers, and continuing to keep doing our thing the best we can. Thanks for sticking with us. We’ll get through this.
